First of all, what is DPP-IV Activity and why should I care?

How will digestive enzymes help me?
Almost everyone has experienced digestive upset like occasional gas, bloating, indigestion, constipation, or loose stools at one time or another.
As you may know, some of the common causes for digestive issues include:
- Eating the wrong kind of foods
- Overeating ... even healthy food
- Feeling stressed out - mentally or emotionally

In addition, digestive enzymes help to support the absorption of nutrients and overall health.

Should I worry about taking too many?
No upper limit has been established for oral enzyme supplementation.
Animal studies indicate that extremely large amounts of enzymes may be ingested without toxicity or adverse reaction. Serving size is based on the amount of food ingested (content and size of a meal) and not specifically by body weight or age.
Are there any contraindications for usage?
Large amounts of proteolytic enzymes should not be taken in the absence of normal gastric mucosa. Do not use if gastritis, peptic ulcer, or heartburn is present.
If pregnant or nursing, consult your healthcare professional prior to use.
This product may not be appropriate for those with known allergies to Aspergillus enzyme proteins, though non-specific mold allergies do not necessarily preclude use of fungal-based enzymes.
Can there be any drug interactions?
Again, it's always best to ask your healthcare provider to receive the best guidance for your particular health concerns. But, the set of enzymes called, carbohydrases may increase
intestinal glucose absorption and may thus interfere with the efficacy of oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin.

These have a nice flavor, not candy sweet, but candy like taste. As far as whether they work 'for me' or not, it's too early to tell (5 days, no noticeable results). My concern about any 'pricey' supplement is, when I am supposed to take them for best results. Very little is on the label (probably for legal reasons), but 1-2 twice a day is what, a safe amount or do people that weight 180lbs. take 3 per day? Before, during or after a meal...? None of this is mentioned. LuvByNature is a great brand, so I suspect these will help, in time.
